FIRST WEEK OF FIRST PHASE TEACHING PRACTICE

Thursday 

 As a part of Bed curriculum, Phase 1 of teaching practice began on 03/10/2024, Thursday. We are a team of 4 members from different optional subjects.

Manjusha K M – Social Science

Arya Krishna R S – Natural Science

Anju L – Mathematics

Basith K – Physical Science

We reached Govt Mohammedan HS, Kollakadavu, at 9:30 a.m. and officially started our teaching practice. Anvar sir assigned me to Std 8th and 9th classes. I was meant to teach the chapters ‘Gravitation’ from Physics and ‘Metals’ from Chemistry. I was assigned to engage in five periods every week.

On the first day, I took chemistry class for std 8th in the fourth period.

Friday

We reached the Govt Mohammadan HS, Kollakadavu at 9:30 a.m. I had second period in class 9th and 6th period in class 8th but unfortunately, I got only the sixth period. I took the chemical and physical changes portion in the chapter ‘Chemical Changes’. We left the school at 4:00 p.m.

FOURTH WEEK OF SECOND PHASE TEACHING PRACTICE

  30/12/2024 Monday Today, the school reopened after the Christmas vacation. I reached the school at 9:45 a.m. and signed the attendance register. Today, I took classes for 8th-standard students in the second and fifth periods. In the second period, I taught them about the characteristics of induced magnetism, and in the fifth period, I taught them about magnetic permeability. Both topics were from the chapter 'Magnetism'. REPORT ON INNOVATIVE WORK SEMESTER 4

  The innovative work on the topic Non-Metals and Their Reactions' was successful as it helped to arouse curiosity and engagement among students. After learning the basic concepts, students found it challenging to recall the different reactions of non-metals, so I decided to introduce an interactive method to reinforce their understanding.   On 17/01/2025  (FRIDAY), I conducted a session for my class using a Riddle Book on Non-Metals and Their Reactions. The book contained a series of riddles related to the properties, uses, and chemical reactions of non-metals. Each riddle provided clues that led to the identification of a non-metal and its reaction.   To make the session more interactive, I divided the students into small groups and distributed the riddle book among them.
