 FOURTH WEEK OF FIRST PHASE TEACHING PRACTICE 

21/10/2024

Monday

 Today we reached the school at 9:30 a.m. After signing the attendance we went to the staffroom. Today I got third period in 8th standard. The properties of metals and reactions of metals from the chapter 'Metals' were discussed in the class. All the notes for 9th standard were given in the class. We served the lunch at noon and we left the school at 4:00 p.m.

Tuesday

 Today we reached the school at 9:30 a.m. There were no students in the school. Only three students from 9th standard and two students from 10th standard came to school. Yesterday there came news about KSU strike in the Alappuzha district. So there is no class today. The KSU members came to the school and asked them to close the school due to the declared strike. The students left the school at 10:00 a.m. and we left the school at 11:00 a.m.

Wednesday

 Today we reached the school at 9:30 a.m. After signing the attendance we went to the staff room. Today I got 4th period in 9th standard. After that the school declared half day holiday due to the inaugural ceremony of school building at Thursday. I taught the topic 'acceleration due to gravitybon earth' from the chapter 'Gravitation'. We served the lunch at noon and we left the school at 4:00 p.m.

Thursday

 Today we reached the school at 9:30 a.m. The decoration and event management work were progressing for the inaugural session of the new school building. There id no class today. The inaugural program was started at about 3:00 p.m. The building was inaugurated by the education minister Shri V Sivankutty. Shri Saji Cheriyan, minister of fisheries, culture and youth affairs, presided the programme. All teachers, students and their parents participated in the program.

 Friday

 Today we reached the school at 9:15 a.m. After signing the attendance we went to the staff room. Today I got 4th and 6th period in 8th standard. I taught them the reactions of metals with air and water from the chapter 'Metals '. I also got 7th period for 9th standard. I gave them notes that were previously taught. We served the lunch and we left the school at 4:00 p.m.

  30/12/2024 Monday Today, the school reopened after the Christmas vacation. I reached the school at 9:45 a.m. and signed the attendance register. Today, I took classes for 8th-standard students in the second and fifth periods. In the second period, I taught them about the characteristics of induced magnetism, and in the fifth period, I taught them about magnetic permeability. Both topics were from the chapter 'Magnetism'. REPORT ON INNOVATIVE WORK SEMESTER 4

  The innovative work on the topic Non-Metals and Their Reactions' was successful as it helped to arouse curiosity and engagement among students. After learning the basic concepts, students found it challenging to recall the different reactions of non-metals, so I decided to introduce an interactive method to reinforce their understanding.   On 17/01/2025  (FRIDAY), I conducted a session for my class using a Riddle Book on Non-Metals and Their Reactions. The book contained a series of riddles related to the properties, uses, and chemical reactions of non-metals. Each riddle provided clues that led to the identification of a non-metal and its reaction.   To make the session more interactive, I divided the students into small groups and distributed the riddle book among them. Each group had to solve the riddles by identifying the correct non-metal and explaining the reaction associated with it. As they solved each riddle, they wrote down the chemical equation...
