Monday

This is the third day of our teaching practice. We reached the school at 9:30 a.m and put the sign on the register. The school auditorium was arranged for school Kalolsavam. The inaugural program started at 10:00 a.m. The program was inaugurated by the senior teacher Ani. The HM of the school, the PTA president, Vice president and all other teachers and students gathered in the school Auditorium. The program started with Mappila paatt of LP and UP along with Quran recitation. Group items included Thiruvathira, oppana, folk dance duffmutt and folk song. The students' participation in all levels are very low. The program ended at 1:30 p.m. We were the judges of some of the programmes. At afternoon, we served food to the children. We left the school by 3:45 p.m after signing the register.

Tuesday

Today we reached the school at 9:20 a.m. Classes started at 10:00 a.m. after the morning prayer. Today I had two periods; second period in 9th std and third period in 8th std. Due to one day workshop camp for 9th std, I didn't get the assigned period. For 8th std, I took my second class in Chemistry. The topics malleability and ductility of the chapter ‘Metals’ were taught by me. Lunch break started at 1:00 p.m. and ended at 1:45 p.m. In the afternoon, we served lunch for all the students.

Wednesday

Today we reached the school at 9:25 a.m. On Wednesday, I had period in 9th std but I didn’t get that period due to the NAS exam. I managed to take substitution period for class 8th. I taught about the topic ‘Hardness and Metallic lustre’ for them.

Thursday

We arrived at 9:25 a.m. in the school and put sign on the register and went to the staff room. Classes started at 10:00 a.m. after the morning prayer. Today I have no periods but I got fourth period in 8th std. I took the remaining portion from the chapter ‘Metals’ about the topic thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity. In the afternoon, we served lunch for the students. We left the school at 4:00 p.m.

  30/12/2024 Monday Today, the school reopened after the Christmas vacation. I reached the school at 9:45 a.m. and signed the attendance register. Today, I took classes for 8th-standard students in the second and fifth periods. REPORT ON INNOVATIVE WORK SEMESTER 4

  The innovative work on the topic Non-Metals and Their Reactions' was successful as it helped to arouse curiosity and engagement among students. After learning the basic concepts, students found it challenging to recall the different reactions of non-metals, so I decided to introduce an interactive method to reinforce their understanding.   On 17/01/2025  (FRIDAY), I conducted a session for my class using a Riddle Book on Non-Metals and Their Reactions. The book contained a series of riddles related to the properties, uses, and chemical reactions of non-metals. Each riddle provided clues that led to the identification of a non-metal and its reaction.   To make the session more interactive, I divided the students into small groups and distributed the riddle book among them.
