THIRD WEEK OF FIRST PHASE TEACHING PRACTICE

Monday

We arrived the school by 9:35 a.m. and put sign on the register and went to the staff room. George sir, Neethi teacher, Lekha teacher and Nisha teacher came to the school for first Phase observation. I have no classes today but due to observation, I got second hour in class 9th . I taught about the topic ‘force of gravity’ from the chapter ‘Gravitation’. It was my first class in 9th std. After that I got third period in 8th standard. I gave notes to the discussed portions. In the afternoon, we served food for the students. Afternoon session was in std 2. I managed them in a disciplinary manner. We left the school at 4:00 p.m.

Tuesday

We arrived the school at 9:30 a.m. and put sign on the register and went to the staff room. Shiny teacher also arrived at the school at 9:45 for observation. In the first period, Anju and Manjusha had classes in 9th and 8th std respectively. The second hour was Physics in class 9. I taught the topic ‘Universal law of gravitation’ from the chapter ‘Gravitation’. I didn't complete the portion as the teacher told me to call anybody for taking biology class in the remaining time of the 2nd period. In the afternoon we served food for the students. Afternoon session was in std 8th about the topic of sonority from the chapter ‘Metals’.

Wednesday

Today was rainy. We reached the school at 9:25 a.m. and put the sign on the register. Classes started at 10:00 a.m. after the morning prayer. Today I had 4th period in 9th standard I completed the topic ‘Universal law of gravitation’ from the chapter ‘Gravitation’. I got the afternoon period of 6 in 9th std. I taught them acceleration due to gravity. We left the school at 4:00 p.m.

Thursday

We reached the school at 9:30 a.m. and put sign on the register. Classes started at 10:00 a.m. after the morning prayer. Today I have no classes but I got fourth period in 9th std and I gave notes for the previous classes. In the afternoon we served food for the students. The 8th standard students were taken to the school ground for the physical education period in the afternoon session. After the 6th period, I got an opportunity to take classes for the 10th standard students. I created a rapport with 10th standard students.

Friday

 We reached the school at 9:15 a.m. and put the sign on the register. Classes started at 9:45 a.m. after the morning prayer. Today I had the second period in 9th standard and 8th period in 8th standard. Today the school was closed the afternoon due to some activities related to school. So I took class in the second period for 9th standard and I taught them mass and weight from physics. In the afternoon, we served food for the students. After that, we left the school approximately at 2:00 p.m.

Today, I took classes for 8th-standard students in the second and fifth periods. REPORT ON INNOVATIVE WORK SEMESTER 4

  The innovative work on the topic Non-Metals and Their Reactions' was successful as it helped to arouse curiosity and engagement among students. After learning the basic concepts, students found it challenging to recall the different reactions of non-metals, so I decided to introduce an interactive method to reinforce their understanding.   On 17/01/2025  (FRIDAY), I conducted a session for my class using a Riddle Book on Non-Metals and Their Reactions. The book contained a series of riddles related to the properties, uses, and chemical reactions of non-metals. Each riddle provided clues that led to the identification of a non-metal and its reaction.   To make the session more interactive, I divided the students into small groups and distributed the riddle book among them. Each group had to solve the riddles by identifying the correct non-metal and explaining the reaction associated with it. As they solved each riddle, they wrote down the chemical equation...
