 FIRST WEEK OF SECOND PHASE TEACHING PRACTICE

Tuesday

Today's teaching practice experience was unexpectedly cut due to the inclement weather. Heavy rain poured down, rendering it difficult for students and staff to commute safely. So, the collector posted a leave notice for all the schools in Alappuzha district, effectively suspending classes for the day.

Wednesday

Today marked the beginning of my teaching practice at Government Higher Secondary School, Kunnam, a journey I have been eagerly anticipating. For the second phase teaching practice, we got GHSS Kunnam and my team consisted of 5 members one from each optional subject. I arrived the school at 9:30 a.m. Upon arrival I signed the attendance register, officially commencing my teaching practice. I then took the opportunity to acquaint myself with the students who welcomed me with enthusiasm and curiosity throughout the day. I actively participated in various school activities. One of the highlight was assisting in serving meals to students. Effectively engaged the students during the substitution period. At the end of the day, we left the school at 4 p m.

Thursday

Today was another fulfilling day of my teaching practice experience. I arrived at the school at 9:15 a.m., eager to engage with my students. After signing the attendance register, I began teaching my 9th standard class following lesson plans 1 and 2. To enhance student understanding, I incorporated proper teaching aids, which proved highly effective. My students listened actively, absorbing the information.We served the meal at noon and left the school at 4:15 p.m.

  30/12/2024 Monday Today, the school reopened after the Christmas vacation. I reached the school at 9:45 a.m. and signed the attendance register. Today, I took classes for 8th-standard students in the second and fifth periods. REPORT ON INNOVATIVE WORK SEMESTER 4

  The innovative work on the topic Non-Metals and Their Reactions' was successful as it helped to arouse curiosity and engagement among students. After learning the basic concepts, students found it challenging to recall the different reactions of non-metals, so I decided to introduce an interactive method to reinforce their understanding.   On 17/01/2025  (FRIDAY), I conducted a session for my class using a Riddle Book on Non-Metals and Their Reactions. The book contained a series of riddles related to the properties, uses, and chemical reactions of non-metals. Each riddle provided clues that led to the identification of a non-metal and its reaction.   To make the session more interactive, I divided the students into small groups and distributed the riddle book among them.
