FIFTH WEEK OF SECOND PHASE TEACHING PRACTICE

Monday

Today I reached the school at 9:30 AM and signed the attendance register as usual. Today, I taught about natural frequency from the chapter 'Sound' for 8th standard in the third period. After that, I taught about the element carbon from the chapter 'Non-metals' for 9th standard in the sixth period. At noon served lunch for students. Finally, I left the school at 4 pm.

Tuesday

Reached the school at 9:30 AM today and signed the attendance register. Today, I have to engage 8th and 9th-standard students for a period each. For 8th standard, I took classes on the factors affecting natural frequency from the chapter 'Sound'. For the 9th standard, I taught about allotropes of carbon namely Graphene and fullerene, and also about amorphous allotropes from the chapter 'Non-metals'. Then I served lunch for the students at noon and left the school at 4.15 pm.

Wednesday

Reached the school at 9.30 am today and signed the attendance register. Today, I taught about pitch from the chapter 'Sound' for 8th std in 4th period. Afternoon, I taught about the compounds of carbon-carbon dioxide from the chapter 'Non-metals' for 9th std in 5th period. At noon, served lunch for students and finally I left the school at 4 pm.

Thursday

Today I reached the school at 9:30 am and signed the attendance register. I had 4th and 6th periods in eighth and ninth standard respectively. I took classes for 8th standard on propagation of sound from the chapter 'Sound'. For 9th standard, I taught about carbon monoxide, carbonates and bicarbonates from the chapter 'Non-metals'. We served food at noon and left the school at 4 pm.

Friday

Today I reached the school at 9:30 am and signed the attendance register. I explained the concept of hearing and audibility from the chapter's sound for 8th std. I made the 9th standard students familiar with the element nitrogen from the chapter 'Non-metals'. We served the meal at noon and left the school at 4 pm.

REPORT ON INNOVATIVE WORK SEMESTER 4

  The innovative work on the topic Non-Metals and Their Reactions' was successful as it helped to arouse curiosity and engagement among students. After learning the basic concepts, students found it challenging to recall the different reactions of non-metals, so I decided to introduce an interactive method to reinforce their understanding.   On 17/01/2025  (FRIDAY), I conducted a session for my class using a Riddle Book on Non-Metals and Their Reactions. The book contained a series of riddles related to the properties, uses, and chemical reactions of non-metals. Each riddle provided clues that led to the identification of a non-metal and its reaction.   To make the session more interactive, I divided the students into small groups and distributed the riddle book among them.
